Applications are invited for filling up against Ex-Servicemen Quota (ESM) on Central Railway.

Requirements:

Ex-Servicemen who have retired after putting in 15 years of military service and have passed Army Class-I Certificate or equivalent. Serving personnel who will be retiring within next one year from the date of this notification after putting in the minimum required service are also eligible to apply. However, they must be relieved from Army Service before 15/12/2011 and such applicants should enclose a certificate to that effect issued by their competent authority.

2.2 Those who have been discharged from Army Service due to disability or due to reasons not attributable to them are also eligible to apply. They must enclose necessary documents to this effect. Such persons should possess Educational Qualification of matriculation if their Army service is less than 15 years.

Age Limit as on 01/11/2010:

33 years + relaxable to the extent of military service + 3 years.
Relaxation in age will be as per as rules of Indian Railway.

Selection Process:

There will be no Written Test and no Physical Efficiency Test. The recruitment shall be on the basis of only scrutiny of applications. The panel will be formed on the basis of length of Military Service rendered by the applicant.

Medical Test – Eligible candidates will have to qualify in the medical test of appropriate category failing which their name will be deleted from the panel.

How to apply

The application shall be submitted on A-4 size quality white paper and should be in the format enclosed as Annexure ‘A’ to this notification. The application format should be filled up in English or Hindi only on one side of the paper, duly dated and signed. Left Hand Thumb Impression should also be given in the boxes provided in the Format. Applicant’s signature in short form/capital letters will be treated as invalid. Each candidate should send one application only.
