West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WB)is inviting applications from Female candidates for 2940 post of Lady Constable as per the following details.

Recruitment Details:

• Post Name: Lady Constable ,Vacancy: 2940 Posts

Pay Scale: PB-2, Rs.5400 to 25200 + Rs.2600 GP

Age Limit: Between 18 to 27 years as on 01/01/2012. Relaxation in age limit for SC / ST Candidates is 5 years and for OBC is 3 years

Qualifications: Matriculation from West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or any equivalent qualifications from any board recognized by State / Central Govt.

Physical Standard:

Height: 160 Cm (152 Cm for Gorkhas, Rajbanshis, Garwaha

lies and ST)

Weight: Proportionate to Height as per medical standard

Candidates applying for Lady Constable must be physically fit and they should have not any physical defect that affect the efficiency of work.

Selection Process:

Selection of lady constable in WB Police will be made on the basis of Physical Efficiency Test (PET) consisting of 400 Meters race in 2 Minutes. Written Test of 90 Mark s Consisting of Multiple Choice Questions based on Reasoning, GA, GK & Elementary Maths and Interview of 10 Marks followed by Medical Examination

How to apply:

Eligible candidates for the post of Lady Constable may apply in prescribed application format which can be obtained from officers of Superintendent of Police in Dist. Headquarters, SDPO Offices at Sub-Divisional Headquarters and Office of the Police Commissioners of Howrah, Barrackpore, Bidhan Nagar, Asansol-Durgapur Police Commission orate.

The Cost of the application form is Rs.150 which should be paid in the form of Demand Draft / Postal Order in favour of ‘West Bengal Police Recruitment Board’, Payable at GPO Kolkata in case of Crossed IPO or Kolkata in case of Demand Draft. Candidates belong to SC / ST Category will have to submit their caste certificates to obtain application form at free of cost

Those all candidates who do not belong to WB State will be treated as General Category and will have to obtain application form from the office of the Superintendent of Police, South 24 Parganas District, Alipore, Kolkata. The Distribution of the application form will be started from 27/02/2012 to 25/03/2012.
A Complete application in all respect with copies of supporting documents, two self attested passport size photographs, IPO / Demand Draft, Envelop of 34*26 cm must reach “The Chairman, West Bengal Police Recruitment Board, Araksha Bhavan, Sector-II, Block-DJ, Salt Lake City, Kolkata-700091” on or before 30/03/2012.
