On-Line Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment as Management Executives in State Bank of India (SBI). Candidates selected as Management Executives are liable to be posted anywhere in India.
Eligibility Criteria: (as on August 01, 2009)
i) Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Marketing, International Business, Operations Management, Systems, HR or
ii) M.Com. or
iii) M.A. / M.Sc. in Economics or M.A. / M.Sc. in Statistics or
iv) C.A. / CWA / CFA / CS (Company Secretary)
Percentage of Marks (for candidates without any professional qualification):i) 60% minimum aggregate marks in XIIth Standard for General / OBC Category candidates (55% minimum aggregate marks for SC /ST / PWD Category candidates) AND
ii) 55% minimum aggregate marks in Graduation irrespective of pass course or Honours Course for General / OBC Category candidates (50% minimum aggregate marks for SC /ST / PWD Category candidates) AND
iii) 55% minimum aggregate marks in Post Graduation for General / OBC Category candidates (50% minimum aggregate marks for SC /ST / PWD Category candidates)
In case of candidates having Professional Qualification CA or CWA or CFA or CS, candidates must have secured 60% minimum aggregate marks in XIIth Standard. (55% minimum aggregate marks for SC /ST / PWD Category candidates).
Age Limit:21 – 30 years
Application Fee:SC / ST / PWD: Rs. 50 And All Others: Rs. 250
How to Apply:Candidates are required to go to any Branch of State Bank of India and pay the amount of prescribed fees/postage charges and get receipt from the branch as per voucher. The candidates are required to apply online through Bank’s website.

I am a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management candidate (2 year course approved by AICTE in 2007). According to the advertisement, I am eligible to apply for the post purely on the basis of my qualification as indicated in eligibility criteria A (i), i.e. Post Graduate Diploma/Diploma in Business Administration regardless stipulated marks of 12th standard. gaduation, PG etc which are mandatory for other candidates.
However, when I tried to fill up the online application, I could not forward the same as the online application form refused to accept my details without the qualifying marks of 12th, graduation,PG Etc thereby equating my qualification with that of other candidates.. I would be grateful if you could kindly clarify as to how can I apply online now.

Ihave gone through the letter from Ms Deepti regarding her inability to fillup the online application form simply because of her not being able to fulfill the 12th, grad and PG mandatory marks specified. This is definitely contrary to the assurance given in the advt that Post Graduate Diploma holders of Business Management are exempt from furnishing the mandatory marks of class 12th, grad or PG. The SBI owes a proper response to this question as it pertains hundreds of candidates similarly affected.

i would like to know that is it mandatory to have 60%in XII i am eligble with the rest of the percentages in graduation and post graduation and belongs to general category would SBI consider if we doesnt have 60%in XII as i have got 57% in XII is there any sort of consideration.

The answer is no one knows when is then result. Its approximately 2 months after the SBI MT exam.. its should be around 13-14th November
